Transforming space, range & merchandising for UK Multi-CATEGORY RETAILER
The client needed to improve the effectiveness of its space, range and display operating model to support growth, create greater consistency across the business and modernise merchandising processes and systems. Existing ways of working lacked clear accountability, aligned workflows and scalable governance.
We conducted a full operating model review and developed a three-year transformation roadmap focused on unlocking value across the business. This included retail benchmarking, future-state operating model design and a prioritised improvement plan covering merchandising, systems and governance.
Working closely with shareholders across the business, we identified operational challenges, benchmarked industry best practice and designed a scalable operating model aligned to both customer and commercial needs. The engagement began with a diagnostic and roadmap phase, followed by activation through multiple delivery workstreams. Phase two is focused on range optimisation, governance design, RACI development and standardised workflows to support long-term execution.
