PLANNING AND DELIVERING THE CHANGE ON A SEPARATION AT GLOBAL ADVENTURE TRAVEL GROUP
This Global Adventure Travel Group were reorganising into two seperate businesses: a global business offering voyages along the Norwegian Coast and global expedition cruises.
Over a 10-month period in 2024, we supported the Change Mangement of the Separation, as they prepared for Trading Day One. This involved 10 markets, changes affecting customers, suppliers, employees and travel agents, covering legal, technology, finance, people and sales workstreams. Technology involved two key milestones for M365 and Dynamics, and the trading applications. Our support involved three steps:
1. Understanding what the separation meant for stakeholders across the business and how best to support them through the transition. Personas for each function showing the change impacts and key considerations were a key output.
2. Planning the change approach and delivery plan to support a complex set of changes touching over 3,000 employees to differing degrees.
3. Delivering the change support through communications, engagement and training, including company-wide townhalls, a dedicated SharePoint site, communication and bite-size training materials.
Our support contributed to a sucessful separation delivered on time and with minimal disruption.
